Power with in us!

We have the power to give life or death to others in how we serve them. How we talk with them when discussing what they are wanting with their hair. Many times if you really listen to your customer they are telling you something deeper than what they want with just their hair. Many times when they are unhappy with their hair, I will do everything I can to make it better but also in my conversation I encourage them in the area I am sensing they are hurting or frustrated. I allow them to vent to me and I try (now I said I try) to just listen and not bring all my junk into the conversation. This is where we humble ourselves as Jesus would and listen and pray for them. When they have shared their heart I take it only to Jesus. I don't tell my husband or friends only to Jesus. When you do this your trust with your clients rises. And your power which is the Holy Spirit living in you can work even more. Step out in faith and just listen to the Holy Spirit as you communicate with your customers. Power is in our speech or lack of speech!!! May God Bless your business this week. ( oh by the way I didn't do very well with my goals last week but I am making more and trying to keep them)

Time

Time........ it keeps on ticking into the future!!!!! lol It is so precious. As a hairstylist I know many of you understand that time gets a way from you. One minute you are running on time enjoying your customer and the next minute you are running late. It took longer to put the foils in than you thought. The color took longer... you didn’t cut the hair short enough ect. We all have the same amount of hours in the day, days in the week, weeks in the months and months in our years. I am reading a book right now that is encouraging me to write out my goals for today, this week, this month my life. How many of you do this? It is really amazing how many things get accomplished when you write things down. I want to encourage you this week to write down 3 things you want to accomplish in your business this week.

Here are my 3 goals

1. Be sure and ask if there is anything I can do to help them like their hair more. (change style, color, teach them how to style a difficult part of their hair)

2. Ask if they need a drink of water, coffee

3 Ask if they would like to book their next appointment for their convenience. (trying to get ahold of us sometimes is hard ti seems they always remember they need a haircut or color at 6 am or 10 pm)

Do you realize if I do just these three goals that I just might retain a client because I didn't treat them like an assembly line? Every goal was for them, to help them what are your goals for this week? (It is a proven fact that you are more likely to achieve the goals your write down and especially if you have accountability)

Personally My goal is to get up a little bit earlier, exercise a little more regular and eat more fruit and vegetables.

Spiritually My main goal this week is to Listen for God's voice.....and ask myself what am I not doing that God has asked me to do. He asked me a while back to encourage hairstylist. At first i thought I would have to figure out a time to meet with you and figure out where and how I could accomplish all He wanted to do. Then one day I thought oh my gosh a blog would reach so many people on their own time frame. I know todays was longer I will try to keep them short because we are always in a rush and most of the time do not have the time to read long blogs.

Hopefully this blog has encouraged you to look at the time you have and budget it more productively and most important to spend time listening to that still small voice.....GOD.

Touch is powerful

Have you ever thought about how many people you actually touch in a week? I was thinking the other day as I was praying, wow, I get to "lay hands" on many people throughout the week. What an awesome privilege I have that God has entrusted to me.
I don't know about you but I look at my job as a hairstylist as a ministry. I want to do the very best to give each client what they are wanting with their hair, but I also want to give them more. The love of Jesus! How do I do that? I pray (when I remember) for my clients before I start the day. I pray that I will be Jesus to them. I serve them. Going the extra mile. I am not perfect but little things like taking their purse and coat hanging it up, laying my hand on their shoulder and looking them in the eye, Listening to them really listening ect. I may not do this every time but I try my best to be conscious of their needs while they are in my chair. When your next customer comes into the salon I encourage you to serve them as Jesus would and when you touch them say a little prayer for them.
